The initial fee for our comprehensive genetic testing is $750 for our members and $850 for our nonmembers. As a part of our partnership with Navgenics, the Burick Center was able to negotiate discounted prices for our clients. The total fee is due at the time of the initial consultation.

This fee includes:
• The genetic test kit and analysis
• Access to your personalized dynamic online results page for 12 months
• Alerts to any changes in research that affects your results
• 24/7 access to Navgenics genetic counselors to review results or answer questions
• The initial one hour consultation with Dr. Burick to review your personal medical history
• Education and assistance with saliva collection instruction by our nurses
• The follow up consultation, upon receipt of the results to review the top genetic findings and provide access to the detailed report of your testing results

Of note we often encourage collection of the saliva during the initial consultation or visit. Our nurses have been given special training and can assist educating you in this process to reduce errors in collection. In preparation for this, we ask that a patient does not eat or drink at least 30 minutes prior to the visit. In addition, we will ask that a patient brush their teeth prior to the saliva collection in order to assure the most accurate results. (If a saliva sample is deemed unusable due to food particle contamination, you will be asked to repeat the saliva collection process.)

Upon completion of your initial consultation and saliva sample collection, a follow up appointment will be scheduled for three to four weeks after saliva collection has been confirmed. This allows adequate time for Navgenics to complete the testing, provide a comprehensive 93-page summary of the analysis, and subsequent review of the results by Dr. Burick with additional consultation with the genetics counselors if needed.

During your follow up visit, Dr. Burick will review the results of your genetic testing and provide you with the ability to access your records directly through Navgenics. Once this access has been granted, the patient can also call the company directly to have any additional questions or concerns reviewed by their certified genetic counselors.

After the initial fee has been paid, which includes a 12-month membership with Navgenics, a patient may chose to remain enrolled in order to receive on going access and continued genetic and health updates based on the latest research. The annual renewal cost is $199 and Navgenics offers this to the patients directly.

If you are not a patient of the Burick Center for Health and Wellness, we do request that you maintain a primary care physician. Presently, Dr. Burick is still accepting a limited number of patients to her practice. If you are interested in joining the practice, please click here to learn more.
