Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that originated thousands of years ago. It is based on the premise that a blockage or disturbance in the flow of the body’s life energy, or “qi,” can cause health issues. Acupuncturists insert hair-thin needles to specific acupuncture points throughout the body to restore the flow of qi, balance the body’s energy, stimulate healing and promote relaxation.

Acupuncture is said to be useful in addressing a variety of health conditions, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Arthritis
  • Chronic pain (such as headaches, back pain, neck pain)
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Eye Conditions
  • Migraines
  • Nausea
  • Sciatica
  • Sinus congestion
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Tinnitus
  • Weight loss

“Acupuncture has given me some of my life back and has allowed me to sleep peacefully again! l I suffer from SEVERE dry eye syndrome. I have seen multiple drs throughout the United States and have had several procedures. Anything that has been suggested, I have tried. Acupuncture has been a God send and I am so thankful it was suggested to me. Dr. Peter Lu is so gentle and always telling me when he is inserting another needle. He has worked with me to help my eyes adjust to the acupuncture and in return that has allowed me to go longer periods without the treatments. We started with once a week for about a month plus and then went to two weeks then to three weeks and now I am at 5 weeks. It takes time but it works!! “
